Once upon a time, two friends lived in a village, one was Chunku and the other was Keema. Both belonged to middle class families. Chunku was a bit stingy, hence Keema used to get angry at him, whenever both of them went somewhere to eat or drink, it was Keema who paid the money. His family members also scolded him for this, but he could not leave his friend.

Once upon a time, both the friends were going somewhere when two boys from the same village came along with them. Now all four of them set out, Chanku was a bit stingy, so he had brought food from home but Keema and the other two boys had not brought anything. When they felt hungry on the way, they thought of eating food in a small dhaba (restaurant) nearby, then Chanku said, I am not hungry, you three eat, till then I will wait outside.

But Keema said that if we eat, we will eat together otherwise I too will not eat, but Chanku did not deviate from his words and kept saying that he was not hungry. However, Chunku wanted the boys accompanying them to go inside so he and Keema would eat the food he had brought from home. Well, this went on for some time and both the boys went to have dinner.

Then both of them also started eating their home food, while saying this, Keema asked why did you bring food, we too would have eaten in the hotel, to which Chunku replied that the food brought from home costs 20 rupees and both in the hotel. Keema laughed at the food available for Rs 100.

 

Plan To Visit The Forest

 

After having food from there, they made a plan that there is a big forest at some distance and they should go there for a walk. Chanku also felt like it but all three did not agree and set out towards the forest. Chanku was reluctant because he was very scared, but what could the poor guy do? When they came along, it was his compulsion to go with them. When they reached near the forest, they found an old man there, who asked them not to go inside, but they did not listen to him and went straight into the forest.

All four of them had left home in the afternoon and now it was evening, Chanku’s pace was increasing. But Vechara was walking with them under compulsion and was not able to even say anything at the rate of mincemeat. Then suddenly, a sound came – “Ghurr Ghurr”, Chanku screamed and went and hugged Keema, then all three of them started laughing because none of them had made that sound. Hearing this, Chunku got angry with all of them and started going back alone, but Keema consoled him and stopped him. Well, everyone has that angry, fearful friend, right? Please tell in comment.

As the darkness was increasing, Chanku was losing his temper, and on top of that, the two people accompanying him were scaring him even more. Then Keema said that we should now go back home but both the boys said that there is a place in the forest where we can stay for the night and from there we will call and inform the family. Everyone thought this was okay, so they started towards that place. They had walked only a short distance when they heard a gurgling sound. Hearing this, all three of them stopped, but Chunku thought that someone had made this sound just to scare him, so he did not stop and continued moving forward.

But this time that voice had actually come from somewhere, by the time all three of them could explain it to him, he had gone some distance away, then that voice came again and the two boys accompanying them ran away. Now Keema could not even run away leaving his friend, so he called out to Chunku and said – “Brother, I swear that the sound is really of some animal, we did not make it out.” Hearing this, Chunku lost his senses and he fell down. -Ran towards Padta Keema. By then both the boys ran away and climbed the tree, and Keema and Chanku were left alone below.

Then he saw something coming from the front and he secretly hid behind a tree. Chanku was feeling very ill due to his fever, the sweat on his head was reaching his knees and tears were falling from his eyes. Keema was also in bad shape due to fear, but he was taking care of Chanku. Then the animal turned back and went away from there, then both the boys also came down. When Keema asked him about running away alone, he said, “You save your life, we will save ours, we have taken a contract from someone”.

After it became quite dark, they reached the place where they had to go, but the place was deserted and there was no one around. There was only a broken ruin, Chanku was scared and scared, then he heard the voices of some men. And they started moving there silently, when they came closer they heard that they were talking among themselves. One of them was saying that in the morning he would prepare “keema” and eat it.

Now hearing this, Keema lost his cool and got scared. Then the second man among them said – “If I have stolen this goat then how will you eat it, we will all eat together, just somehow let the day pass and then I will go home and bring utensils, knives and spices.”

Hearing this, Keema felt relieved. Hearing his words, all four of them started retreating from there, but one of them said that we will have to stay here today somehow, otherwise there could be danger in the forest. After waiting for some time, they saw that there was a dilapidated room on the other side of the ruins, so they went there and sat down. It was winter but no one had anything to fly, they had only those clothes. Which he was wearing.

Suddenly he realized that our family members must be worried as to where the children had gone. Well they talked for some time and slept. But one of them was awake, which was Chanku. When Chanku saw that everyone was asleep, he started eating his remaining food. After eating, when he went outside to urinate, one of the men saw him and caught him. When Chanku screamed, everyone else also woke up, then the two boys with him ran away. Now Keema was left alone again, because he could not leave his friend. He raised an alarm but there was hardly anyone in that deserted forest who would come.

Then one of the men came and caught hold of him too, and took both of them inside. When both of them were interrogated, one of them turned out to be an acquaintance of Keema. Then both of them told them the whole story and told that there were two more boys with them who also ran away. He also told them how the air from the mincemeat was deflated due to the fact that it was making mincemeat. Fortunately, he returned to his home early in the morning.

Moral of the Story – We should never leave our friend under any circumstances, because a true friend is the one who stands with us in sorrow, otherwise we find many people who can have fun with us.
