A Short History of Japanese Anime

For the first time at Super Sugoii, we want to spread the Japanese Anime culture deeper in India. So, this is our first attempt to bring Japan and India closer through different Indian languages. Keep encouraging us.

In India, our first foray into Japanese culture was by watching Saturday morning cartoons. Fascinated by fantastic stories, huge eyes, and amazing animation, most of us were watching Japanese anime without even realizing it. TV Tokyo’s The Jungle Book by Nippon Animation has been a massive hit in India since 1989. The song “Jungle Jungle Baat Gayi Hai” was composed for the Hindi dubbed version with original music by Vishal Bhardwaj, lyrics by Gulzar and lyrics by Amol Sung by Sahadev.
