Bird stories are entertaining for children. The Clever Bird is a charming story that will introduce children to their human qualities. In a village, there was a field on the bank of a river where a farmer lived, and on the other side of the river, there was a tree where many birds lived. Among those birds, there was also a clever bird who used to lead all the birds. Every year the farmer would sow grains in his fields, but birds would eat some of the grains, which would reduce the farmer’s yield.
The farmer, troubled by the birds, made a plan to catch them and spread a net in the field. At that time, the clever bird had gone to visit another farm with some other birds. The farmer had put grain grains in the middle of the net, which, in an attempt to eat, the birds present there were getting trapped one by one. Within no time, he started succeeding in his trick.
The farmer captured most of the birds around the farm in his basket and with a spirit of revenge, he took all the birds away from the village, left them in a forest, and after coming back, started sowing crops in his fields | The clever bird was worried about the sudden disappearance of its fellow birds. The bird started calling loudly with its sweet voice. On hearing his voice, the remaining birds present nearby gathered.
The bird warned all the birds and said, “This man has caught all our companions and sent them somewhere far away and has also spread a net to trap the remaining birds, therefore, let us leave this area and go to our companions.” But, we don’t know where he has sent our companions, so we have to find out.” The clever bird deliberately sent some birds to get trapped in the farmer’s net and as soon as the farmer started taking them away in his basket, the clever bird also started flying behind him along with the rest of the birds.
The farmer, on his motorcycle, reaches the same forest where he had come earlier to release the birds. As soon as he reaches here, he opens his basket. As soon as the basket is opened, the captured birds start flying in the air. The birds flying in the air recognize the clever bird come near it and start flying. The birds in the forest tell the clever bird, “They are feeling perfect in this forest and here, there is no shortage of food.” The clever bird was very happy to meet her friends.
She decided, “Now she will never return to the farmer’s field” and the next moment the bird started hopping with its friends in the middle of the greenery of the forest. The farmer was very happy to send all the birds to the forest. He felt that “now no one will harm his crop” but his illusion was shattered when he saw the yield of his crop. The crops were destroyed by insects.
The farmer was not able to understand anything because this time his crop was ruined more than every other time. Crying, he reached an experienced elderly farmer in the village and started narrating the plight of his farm. The old farmer said laughingly, “If you have removed the guards of your fields, then who would have saved your fields from insects?
The farmer said crying, “I don’t understand what you said.” Then the old farmer explained to him and said, “The animals, birds, and creatures present in this nature are essential to keep the human system alive. The birds that you imprisoned and sent away from your fields were the same birds that used to protect your crops from insects. By removing the birds from the field, you have broken the law of nature for which you had to be punished. Now you have only one atonement.
To invite the birds back, plant some fruit trees in your field so that the birds can again reach around your field, and in the future, your crops can be protected from insects. The farmer was feeling very remorseful for his foolishness. He could not bring back all the birds from the forest but, he built many nests for the birds around his farm and started waiting for the birds to come. With this, this story ends.
