Lion Ride
Both William and James were close friends. Both lived in a village. Both of them had a donkey each and they used to go towards the forest on the donkey.
They tied grass and wood from the forest to the village and sold it.
The village people knew that there was a lion in the forest. Due to which he did not go into the forest due to fear. In the beginning, William and James also used to go to the forest with fear. But when he did not see the lion for a long time, his fear ended.
Taking advantage of this fear of the villagers, both of them used to bring wood from the forest and sell it. In this way both of them managed to survive.
Mother: Son, why do you do such dangerous work? What will happen to you if you encounter a lion someday? Listen to me and leave this work.
William: Mother, don’t worry, one day I will ride the same horse and bring wood on it.
Hearing this his mother starts laughing.

James: Brother, you are right but how will you ride a lion? The lion will eat us as soon as it sees us.

Both climb up the hill.
After waiting for a long time the lion comes to drink water. Both of them start following him secretly. Then he sits at a place near his cave and starts sleeping.

James: Will you get me killed? He will eat both of us, let’s run away from here.
William: Wait, just keep answering as I say.
William whispers something into James’s ear. Then both of them sat hiding in the shelter of his cave and started talking to each other.
William: Look brother, now these two lions are not enough, we will have to sell more wood. Need one more lion.
The lion’s eyes open. He starts listening to them attentively.
James: Yes man, I heard there is a lion in this forest. But it is not visible.

Hearing this the lion thinks. If they see me and turn me into a donkey, then I will become a donkey for the rest of my life and on top of that, I will get infamy in the forest. All the animals will make fun.
The lion fearfully walks in front of both of them. At once both get scared.
Lion: Brother, I don’t want to be a donkey. I will do whatever you say, don’t make an ass out of me.
William’s ploy succeeds.
William: Okay, let’s leave you. But every day you will have to carry yourself and drop you to the village. We get very tired while walking.
The lion agrees. Both of them sit on the lion. Both the donkeys walk ahead. Following them, William and James sit on the lion and reach the village. Seeing them the villagers get scared and hide in their homes.
William: Hey, don’t be afraid, it’s our pet lion.
The lion leaves both of them at home and silently goes into the forest.
After his departure the entire village gathers there.
Villager: Brother, how did you do all this?
William: This lion is our slave. It will eat whoever we tell it to and if anyone other than us goes into the forest, it will kill him.
We bring wood with so much courage and hard work. From today the price of wood will quadruple. Take whatever you want, otherwise go to the forest yourself.
The entire village gets scared and starts buying wood at quadruple the price.
Now every day William and James started coming to the village riding on lions.
William’s mother: Son, you are not doing it right. The lion is not as stupid as you think. The day his fear goes away, he will eat you. dump her.
William: Mother, nothing happens, you see, he will continue to enslave us like this.
Gradually this news spreads throughout the forest.
All the animals start making fun of the lion. The lion becomes very sad.
One day his friend the jackal talks to the lion. The lion tells him the whole thing. The jackal sits hiding. While William and James are gathering wood he takes the lion to the donkeys.
Lion: Why brother, which lion of the forest are you?
Donkey: We are donkeys by birth. Both of them are fooling you.
Lion: Okay, both of you, keep quiet, I will tell them today.
The lion carries both of them on his back and walks away. On the way the lion says to the donkeys –
Lion: I found a magician who turns donkeys into lions. you come with me.
William: How can this happen? This magic comes only to us.
Lion: Now I am not afraid, today I will eat you both. Then I will transform both of them into lions and leave them in the forest.
The condition of William and James worsens. They start apologizing to the lion.
Lion: No, today I will just eat you.
Donkey: Maharaj, leave them. Otherwise we will die of hunger.
The lion takes pity and leaves them both.
Lion: If you are seen in this forest after today, you will not survive.
Both of them come home scared.
