One day the children talked about going for a picnic. Ankita’s soul trembled after hearing this, because she remembered an old incident.

This happened when Ankita was studying in 10th class. One day the teacher had planned a picnic. Ankita also agreed to go along with all her friends. Had to go to Pavagadh for picnic. The entire school was going for a picnic, so about 30 buses were ready to take all the children.

Ankita sat in the rearmost bus with her friends. Everyone was going by bus laughing and having fun. Then after reaching some distance away from the forest, a loud noise came from the same bus. This time was around 1.30 in the night. When the driver came out of the car, he realized that the tire had burst.

The driver told everyone that it would take about two hours to change the tire of the bus, so all of you should get down. I change it. You guys can go to the nearby dhaba. Have some hot tea there and I will try to change this tire immediately.

After listening to the driver, everyone got down from the bus and reached the nearby dhaba on foot. An old man was making tea there. Everyone was surprised to see the restaurant open so late at night and someone making tea.

The old man said, “You all drink tea. People’s cars often break down here, that’s why I always keep my dhaba open. Passersby like you get some help.”

After listening to him everyone ordered tea. Within a short time he prepared tea for everyone and placed it on the table. While drinking tea, Ankita’s eyes went straight towards the roof of the dhaba. There Ankita saw a woman in a white saree with open hair. After some time she started laughing loudly. Even though no one could hear the sound of laughter, Ankita saw him laughing with his mouth open.

Seeing all this, Ankita lowered her eyes out of fear. Shivering, Ankita had somehow started drinking tea again when at that very moment the sound of someone shouting loudly came from the forest. All the children and teachers sitting in the dhaba got scared after hearing that sound. Seeing everyone scared, the old man said that I will come and see what has happened. You guys keep sitting here. Saying this he moved towards the voice.

Then a girl started vomiting blood continuously. Seeing him everyone’s condition became worse. At the same time a teacher said that you all light a fire and sit next to it. Everyone lit a fire together and sat in a circle. The teacher told everyone in a strict tone that no one should go anywhere alone. Anyway, everyone was so scared that they did not have the courage to go anywhere alone.

It was three o’clock while we were sitting near the fire. Then somewhere that old man returned from the forest. He looked at everyone and said that everyone should forget that scream, otherwise it will become difficult to live. Saying this he went inside the dhaba. Then the driver also changed the tire and reached near the dhaba with the bus. Everyone sat in that bus chanting the name of God.

As soon as they boarded the bus, the teacher told everyone that no one would talk to each other. Everyone go to sleep straight away. Everyone listened to the teacher and slept quietly in the bus. After that we reached the picnic spot and returned after about a week. No one at the picnic told anything about that night to the other children on the bus, because the teacher forbade it. But, as soon as they returned from the picnic, everyone told their friends and other classmates about this ghostly incident.

Today, as soon as she heard the name of picnic, the story of this haunted dhaba came to Ankita’s mind and she started feeling scared of sending her children on picnic.

Lesson From The Story: It is better to forget past incidents, otherwise that incident keeps scaring you throughout your life.
